
Over the past couple of years Instagram has grown immensely and has undoubtedly become the worlds largest photo sharing social media platform. Instagram has over one billion monthly users. As well as being one of the top three social media platforms Instagram has one of the highest engagement rates for businesses when they place adverts on the platform. Instagram is a great platform for a business to set up and manage their own digital tribe. It is estimated that businesses can get up to 10 times more engagements on Instagram as opposed to any other social media platform, indicating that Instagram do not limit the amount of visibility of brands posts.
My favourite brands on Instagram are……
RedBull:When it comes to ‘rocking’ Red Bull is at a different level. Each of their Instagram posts show extreme events taking place, be it sports or random challenges. Every post is eye-catching and can fetch up to 500,000 likes and over 2 million views. RedBull has over 9.9 million followers enables them to reach these figures.

Above is an example of the type of extreme event RedBull shares on Instagram. It shows one of their rally drivers ramp over one of their RedBull mountain biking riders. Followers on Instagram would instantly be become engaged in this post as it is such a unique photo and have more than likely never seen anything like it before.
Adidas: Another brand rocking Instagram is the worldwide sports brand Adidas. They have over 22 million followers and their posts can reach huge numbers. Adidas captures their followers attention with each post by using both unique photos and famous sports stars wearing their products with the brand being clearly visible. When a sports fan see their favourite sports star in one of Adidas’ Instagram posts they are far more likely to become engaged and attracted to that post.

Above is an example of a unique photo that will attract attention. The angle that this picture is taken is very unique and is rarely seen. The Adidas logo is also clearly visible.
Vans: Vans have over 13 million followers on their Instagram account and have over 3100 posts. The majority of their posts show people outdoors, having a good time. They associate themselves with being a skateboarding/biking brand and also emphasise this on Instagram. Their posts consist of Vans branded products in the centre of pictures. The pictures are colourful and attractive to look at and therefore attract people scrolling through the Instagram platform.

These brands are my favourite on Instagram at the moment as they understand how to use the platform. Their posts are suitable for Instagram but the thing I like most is how they advertise their products. Instead of just forcing their products at consumers they are making an effort. In this instance, RedBull, Adidas and Vans place their branded products in the heart of unique attractive photos. Their products are not pushed in the face of consumers but they are still clearly visible. The huge number of followers these brands have, also proves that they are the top brands rocking Instagram.
